Hi, I'm Prince Ecuacion, a business analyst based in Melbourne, Australia, with 15 years of experience. This site collects every tutorial from the Prince the B.A. YouTube channel: short, practical how-tos for the tools BAs use at work, like Visio, Excel, SQL, Jira, Confluence, BPMN, draw.io and Airtable, plus longer videos on core BA skills such as requirements gathering, RACI matrices, scope and root cause analysis.
My background
I studied Computer Science (BS, Cebu Institute of Technology) and have worked in roles in the Philippines and in Melbourne. I trained in the Volere requirements method (Mastering the Requirements Process), and I wrote about one habit that helps every BA in a LinkedIn article: "Maximizing Problem-Solving: Asking 'Stupid' Questions as a Business Analyst".
Who this site is for
New and junior business analysts, people moving into a BA role from testing, support or project work, and anyone who has been asked to "just draw the process" or "pull the numbers" and wants to see it done once, step by step. You don't need a paid course to learn these tools. Most of what a BA does in them is a handful of moves you can learn in a few minutes each.
What you get on each page
- The video. Many examples use the same made-up company, an online shop, so they connect from one lesson to the next.
- A written guide: a quick answer, every step written out, the real values to type, the mistakes people make, and where a BA uses it at work. You can follow along without pausing the video.
- Practice data on many spreadsheet lessons, so you can try it yourself in a blank file.
How the videos and guides are made
Each lesson is built around a real task a BA does and is recorded in the actual tool. The videos are made with the help of AI tools, including an AI voice. The concept videos follow the BABOK Guide (IIBA), and say so on screen.
Each written guide is drafted with AI from the lesson itself, then checked twice before it goes live: once for wording and once by a separate fact-check against the video (wrong cells, wrong menu names, features that only exist in some versions). A guide that doesn't pass is not published, and that page stays hidden from search until it does.
